Presented across two sites, Arts House, North Melbourne Town Hall and Arts House, Meat Market, the Arts House program values arts and culture that can help create a world where people are actively engaged, aware and willing to participate, politically and culturally, to make change.
Each year Arts House presents a curated program of contemporary art featuring performances, exhibitions, live art, installations and cultural events, which are programmed to inspire dynamic community engagement.
Arts House has made every effort to offer wheelchair and limited mobility access throughout the program. Please contact Arts House on 03 9322 3720 for further information.
Australia is home to the oldest living culture on earth. Respect and engagement with this ancient culture and its contemporary lineage continues to make a unique contribution to creativity in this place and inspire our collective consciousness and understanding. Arts House acknowledges and respects the customs and traditions of Indigenous Australians and their special relationship with the land. The artists and organisers respectfully acknowledge that this program takes place on the land of the traditional owners of the Kulin Nation.
Malthouse Theatre is a non-profit organisation dedicated to the development, production, and promotion of contemporary Australian theatre. The company engages broadly and investigates profoundly what it is to be alive, to be human, and to be a citizen of the world.
Malthouse Theatre's broadly defined program is conceived and created in collaboration with writers, directors, designers, choreographers, audio/visual artists and performers - a contemporary theatre where the combined possibilities of all the theatre arts are offered centre stage. The company actively pursues, and identifies, the best of Australia's emerging and established artists to create unique opportunities for risk, ideas and exploration.
Malthouse Theatre is the resident company of The C.U.B. Malthouse, located in one of the world's most burgeoning cultural precincts, Southbank. The C.U.B. Malthouse plays a unique and important role in this precinct as the home for contemporary performance.
Originally built in 1892 as a brewery and malting works, The Malthouse was generously donated by Carlton and United Breweries for the creation and presentation of contemporary Australian theatre in 1990. The CUB Malthouse complex now houses three theatres (500 seat Merlyn, 200 seat Beckett & the 100 seat Tower Theatre), a vibrant cafe and bar, and Melbourne's most iconically housed scenic workshop.

Ausdance Victoria is the Victorian office of the Australian Dance Council - Ausdance, Australia's service organisation and peak body for dance. Established in 1977 as the Australian Association for Dance Education, the organisation was created out of the dance community, for the dance community. Over its 30 year life Ausdance and the dance sector have grown in tandem, and the organisation has been instrumental in the sector's development.
Ausdance Victoria's current focus is raising awareness, understanding and appreciation of dance in Victoria; and supporting dance professionals to develop their practice. We are doing this through major activities including the Australian Dance Awards and associated Public and Industry Programs, dance in education programs and partnerships, dance development in regional Victoria, advocacy, and information services.
